The AEG LAVATHERM 57520 Dryer has some known problems that occur often. Here are some easy to do solutions for the problems or error codes your AEG might be giving you.

1. The door cannot be closed

Fluff filter has not been inserted correctly and/or the filter lid not closed

2. The drum illumination does not work

The program selector is in the OFF (UIT) position

3. The bulb needs replacing

The bulb is not functioning

4. EMPTY WATER (RESERVOIR) is lit

Condensate container full

5. EMPTY WATER (RESERVOIR) indicator illuminated, even though the container has already been emptied

Foreign bodies, e.g. animal hairs, can block the inlet nozzle as well as the valve

6. The dryer terminates the drying process automatically: END (EINDE) is displayed shortly after program start

Too dry or too little laundry filled-in for the selected program

7. The drying process takes unusually long

SPECIAL CARE (LAGE TEMPERATUUR) button pressed and too much laundry filled-in

8. Too much laundry filled-in

Laundry too damp

9. CLEAN FILTER (ZEEF) display

The fluff filter needs cleaning

10. CONDENSER (WARMTEWISSELAR) display lights

The condenser needs cleaning

11. END/CREASE GUARD (EINDE/ANTI-KREUK) display is illuminated

The cooling phase has started and the heater is switched off
